ICL Education Group is committed to research. Many of the present staff are active in research and all future permanent academic staff will be expected to embrace the research culture of the School. Our research objectives are to:
- Research into areas that reflect ICL’s core teaching activity, especially at a graduate and postgraduate level.
- Publish an annual ICL Journal.
- Publish quarterly Research Outlook newsletters.
- Maintain staff contributions to internationally recognised, peer-reviewed journals and publications.
- Maintain staff attendance at and presentations to domestic and international conferences.
- Deliver monthly in-house research seminars.
- Conduct and publish research projects in cooperation with external bodies.
- Conduct introspective research projects into ICL Education Group Schools’ teaching and student achievement.
- Encourage research in any individual’s particular research area.
Our research is guided by the Research Advisory Board chaired by Dr John Hinchcliff, former Vice-Chancellor of AUT University, and monitored where appropriate by the ICL Ethics Committee.
